Gathering of Congregational Leaders Creates Spirit and Energy for Revitalization Efforts

The Experiment in Congregational Education has been involved with Congregation Beth Shalom and Kehilath Israel, two large Conservative congregations in the Kansas City area. In April 2002 lay and professional leaders from both congregations came together to learn how to implement the ECE process into their congregations. One of the wonderful qualities of the Kallah was that the congregations were able to work with one another while pursuing different goals. The ECE in Kansas City serves as a natural complement to the Kansas City Jewish community as it continues to transform itself into a community of learners and a self-renewing community.
